Everything about it was great including the beauty of it, size and the overall ambiance of the place. There were a few snotty club members that didnt like the bridal party getting ready in "their" locker room but I didnt let them get to me on my day they should have been. The food was delicious, and we heard great feedback from our guests on all of it. About Castlewood Country Club Your event will be memorable when held at Castlewood Country Club. My only complaint was that they promised no cars in the parking lot near the Oak and there was. This venue was perfect for a large group.

The room’s 12-foot-high windows let in breathtaking views, and 10 massive Spanish-style chandeliers combine with other ambient lighting to halo festivities in just the right light.

We really liked the huge ballroom, our guest didn't feel tight/squeezed in. Once the site of the fabulous “La Hacienda Del Pozo de Verona” and the former estate of Phoebe Apperson Hearst, California’s beloved hostess and first lady of philanthropy, the Castlewood Country Club still retains the aura of elegance and grace that were the hallmarks of its famous resident. So happy we chose this place to be part our wedding day!Other than that the service was perfect and the staff kept checking in on me and my husband during the reception. Many of our guest could not stop talking about the food! Took care of the Bride and groom! It is located in the tri-valley, so it can get very hot on summer days.
We had a good size dance floor.
The princely porte-cochère that marks the entrance to the Clubhouse is reminiscent of the palatial 53-room California Mission-style mansion that once crowned the rise. It was redone by the time we got married! We especially loved working with Castlewood because so many services were provided under one roof and we didn't need to rent our own chairs, tables, dishware, or linens (such a relief!)
