My only issue with this movie is that to much of it is based in prison. With hostility high between the Blacks and Chicanos, Montana and Bonafide meet in the prison yard. Blood in blood out is a film that doesn’t get mentioned often when anyone talks about great drama/crime films but it should. If you have not seen it you don't know what your missing. This was a movie I watched countless times during my early teenage years and STILL holds up after all these years. Included in this release is "The Making of Blood in, Blood Out." The leg has to be amputated, and Miklo is sent back to prison. It’s a journey worth taking and you will see why I call this a classic film.
