It gets out of hand when every team needs 1 or 2 hogs because if they dont the other team can too easily steal buffs and objectives.I liked the old Hog but it was just too strong and if the other team had it, you had to get it. Relics provide special powers available to all Gods.
Now it's just a niche item, which I find pretty sadIts not that it was over powered its just that it was a MUST BUY.
The benefit only directly goes to junglers, so no one else would be good with it.
