ST41832. Two less par 5's makes the white tees plenty long! From the beginning, Stonewall has been a place to relax, where good manners and an appreciation for the game of golf trump any need for rules and dress codes. If all that does not bring you out, the restaurant is top notch.Olde Stonewall needs to be on your don't miss list.I have played this course for 5 years. 1495 Mercer Rd Ellwood City, PA 16117-5021 Phone: (724) 752-4653 Website: www.oldestonewall.com Type: Daily Fee Category: Golf Club Par: 70 . They are so friendly and accommodating. 12-16 are as visually stimulating as they are challenging, and provide a stellar finish to the round. The back-to-back par 3s at 14 and 15 are unique and play quite differently, though both require longer shots than it appears. Or bring some extra balls.
Fantastic.Has something for everyone, challenging yet forgiving!! I Recommend This Course !The course is always in great shape. When people see the length of the course, many will travel to the tees further back forgetting that it is a Par 70 course. Stumbled upon it searching for my ball and startled me before I realized what it was!The maintenance crew does an outstanding job not only with keeping the general aesthetics of the course in great condition, but also do a notable job of clearing the falling leaves. Nice interesting and unique layout, never too crowded that I've seen.Several holes are on the slide of a mountain, which are a little sketchy, but easily overlooked on an overall basis.Plain truth is it's a nice track, and everything is positive except that it is ridiculously overpriced. I Recommend This Course The course had been on my bucket list for a few years prior to playing it.
The 2nd of which is one of the hardest par 3's I've played (and i've played a ton) given the awkward angle, forced carry and trouble surrounding the green. While it's a great course and an awesome overall experience I'm not sure it's worth the $150-$175 regular rate given it's location.
Even the locker room was really nice!Overall, I liked the front 9 a little better than the back. Each tee box will provide a fun but challenging round.

I usually play Olde Stonewall at least once a year. I recommend this course to anyone traveling through Western Pennsylvania.
GPS on the carts were accurate. We were about fifteen minutes early to our tee time at Olde Stonewall but wanted to hit some balls.
Olde Stonewall Golf Course, one of the upmost public golf courses in the United States, as well as the attached Shakespeare’s Restaurant and Pub, has been purchased by Sewickley entrepreneur Joe Nocito.
The staff is exceptional.
No.
Olde Stonewall caught me off-guard with its imposing castle clubhouse. Fairways are great, greens are fast and undulating and tons of sand traps! Once holding the #50 spot on golf Digests “top 100 courses you can play” list and a “top ten best new courses” winner in 1999 “Epic” seems appropriate. There are multiple high vista holes throughout the course with fantastic views of the surrounding areas and really elevated tee boxes; for example, the Epic tee box on the 474 yard par four 16th (which I played because once you stand there, there’s no way you are walking back down to the Medieval tees) turned my 220-230 yard 3 wood into a 281 yard “driver.” However, for my money, the best golf hole is the far more sedate number four. I Recommend This Course Go to the Epic tees (championship tees) to see the course as it was designed! Ellwood City, Pennsylvania The course uses its bunkers, and to a lesser degree water hazards, judiciously to defend landing areas and greens without being overly excessive or punitive. Recommend this course The course will make you think and appreciate shot selection. Great greens!!
I Recommend This Course I could not say the same about the course I played the day before.
There is no ranger to be found in order to move play along. The back 9 is more visually appealing but there's 3 or 4 holes that seemed a bit forced.
Great fairways!! I've played a number of times over the years there, and between the actual course, the staff, the amenities and the restaurant (Shakepeare's), you won't find a better place anywhere close to Olde Stonewall.
