This journal contains 90lb mixed media paper for watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink, charcoal, crayon, marker, and collage. Acid free. I didn't realize that was even happening until I had to erase a good sized area. The binding of this sketch book is stiff and makes it somewhat challenging to open all the way. I shouldn't have been - this is fantastic!
Works well for gouache, fineliners, colored pencils though I’ve intended to use it for watercolors and inks in the first place. The pages are very thin. This softcover sketch book is an ideal on-the-go art journal.
Out of all of the brands and what not I have tried this is the best and the only thing I buy. Overall very nice everyday sketchbook.
The paper has enough of a tooth, though not cold press, to accept charcoal and pastel.
