The Pheonix Project is an IT Management Fable, the characters are for the most part extreme representations of concepts and people you interact with in business. Something we hope you'll especially enjoy: If you're a seller, Fulfillment by Amazon can help you grow your business. Mismanaged projects, time and budget overruns, meddling managers with an inflated sense of self importance, arbitrary and un-achievable deadlines etc.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 21, 2018

This is a book that any novice to DevOps or anyone for who wants to improve their productivity using that practice or even just wanting to know what the fuss is about, should definitely read.

I found it a really good reflective tool as a result - you get so bogged down in your own world that sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees - and this gave me some fresh new ideas to take certain problems I was facing forward.

Four scientists craft a machine to reanimate deceased organisms.

The subject itself is not the most exciting however the author does an excellent job in presenting a rather dull subject in a fun and informative way.

Excellently educational and inspiring. When I started reading "The Phoenix Project" I found myself captured by the way the book described so perfectly the problems caused by years of poor leadership and IT governance and found myself willing them on to get it right and fascinated as to whether the solutions I had in my head would be what they implemented. This is the book every IT professional must read. Additionally, much of the "achievements" described in the story seem to happen as if by magic, with very little detail about how things were evolved from point A to point B. The Unicorn Project: A Novel About Developers, Digital Disruption, and Thriving in the Age of Data 'The Phoenix Project' takes a broad view of DevOps. I always expect these kind of books to be pretty uninspired, but educational. Une erreur est survenue. It lacks on the QA dept area, for instance.

Je considère ça comme l'introduction du DevOps handbook du même auteur. Absolutely great quality reading. The Site Reliability Workbook: Practical Ways to Implement SRE Find all the books, read about the author, and more.

The book focuses on a newly appointed head of IT and his small team and how he adopts various DevOps approaches to solve long-standing IT issues. It's a great novel for IT professionals which is talking about day to day life of IT professionals. Told through an absorbing story that is impossible to put down, the authors teach the essential lessons in an accessible way.

Its is one of the best books IT i've read, very informative and written in an easy to read and understand format (I read the whole book in 3 evenings).

"The Phoenix Project: A Novel about IT, DevOps, and Helping Your Business Win" was quite a hard one to pick up for me personally. I always expect these kind of books to be pretty uninspired, but educational. It was so good that I bought ten copies to pass around my peers in the project and development teams in a hope that concepts such as Kanban and the practice of planning and scheduling of projects by understanding resource constraints (both human and technological) could be illustrated better via the novel than via stilted attempts to demonstrate the concepts in real life.

A must read for anyone with an interest in IT.

The Phoenix Project is an allegorical tale of DevOps—the needs, the transition, and the business impact—as told through the main character, Bill Palmer, who has recently been named VP of IT Operations, much against his will. Regardless of the fact that you're a novice or not, it's a defo "go to" book. Votre adresse de livraison: Veuillez réessayerMalheureusement, nous n'avons pas réussi à enregistrer votre vote. The Phoenix Project is an engaging tale, at a reasonably quick pace that helps illustrate the DevOps mentality.

The Phoenix Program (Vietnamese: Chiến dịch Phụng Hoàng) was a program designed and coordinated by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) during the Vietnam War, involving cooperation between American, South Vietnamese and Australian militaries. This is important."

It's entertaining, concerning and enlightening.
